DR JAWAD KHAN
Dr. Jawad Khan is a male dental professional specialising in periodontology. Jawad earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry and Master of Dentistry at La Trobe University, Bendigo, graduating in 2017. During his studies, Jawad received numerous accolades, including the Henry Schein Halas Prize, Pierre Fauchard Academy Foundation Scholarship, and Delta Sigma Delta Dentistry Student Achievement Award, while also serving as a student leader, council representative, and academic mentor.
Commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Australian Army in 2017, Jawad was promoted to Captain upon completing his undergraduate studies. He provided dental care to service members during postings to the 2ND General Health Battalion and Joint Health Unit – Central NSW (HMAS Kuttabul). In 2021, Jawad was awarded the Australian Defence Medal in recognition of his service to the Australian Defence Force.
Jawad completed the Primary Fellowship Examination of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2020, earning examiner commendations in all six subjects. In 2022, inspired by a growing interest in periodontics and implant dentistry he commenced a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Periodontics) at the University of Sydney on path to becoming a specialist periodontist. During specialist training he also served as a student representative on the Westmead Clinical Training Committee.
An active member of professional organisations, including the International Team for Implantology, Australian Society of Periodontology, and Australia and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists, Jawad is dedicated to high standard periodontal and implant dentistry. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, and sports including squash, cricket and soccer.
